India Post GDS Result 2023: Check 2nd Merit List and Cut Off Marks

Major Discrepancy in Post Office Result Declaration

A significant discrepancy has been observed in the recently released Post Office results. This issue is so substantial that it is anticipated the Post Office Department will need to issue a second list to address the concerns.

Unusually High Cut-Off Marks Observed This Year

The current results display exceptionally high cut-off marks. Examples include 98% for OBC category candidates and even 100% for SC category. Overall, cut-off percentages this year are predominantly above 90%. Any score below 90% is rarely seen in the current list. This suggests a major issue in the result declaration process.

A Stark Contrast to Previous Years’ Cut-offs

This year’s high cut-offs stand in sharp contrast to those of 2022. Last year, cut-off percentages were considerably lower, with many states seeing figures around 75%. Numerous candidates with 75% marks were successfully selected in 2022. This significant difference from the 90+ cut-offs seen this year further highlights the scale of the discrepancy in the latest result declaration.

Second List Expected to Address Concerns

There is a strong expectation that a second list will be released soon. An update indicates a high probability of this development. The first list has already been published, and preparations are currently underway for the second list, which is expected to be made available to the public promptly.

Information for Candidates Awaiting the Second List

Candidates whose names were not included in the first list are advised to wait for the release of the second list. If you applied for GDS recruitment and your name is not in the current result, please share your name and the percentage you applied with.
