Strategic Application: State-wise Vacancy Analysis
Candidates are advised to carefully review the state-wise vacancy notification before applying. It is crucial to note that some states have very few or no vacancies at all. Applying from such states might reduce selection chances.
For instance, states and regions like Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu show a good number of vacancies. Delhi alone has over 2000 vacancies. Conversely, regions like Andaman Nicobar, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, and Chhattisgarh have very limited or zero vacancies, and it is recommended to avoid applying from these locations if your aim is a higher chance of selection.
Candidates can check category-wise vacancies (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS) for each state within regions like the Western Region (WR), North Region (NR), and Central Region (CR). As this is a central government vacancy, there are no restrictions on applying from a state other than your domicile state. For example, a resident of Maharashtra can apply from Rajasthan or Punjab.
Avoiding Common Mistakes During Online Application
Many candidates make crucial mistakes while filling out online forms, leading to rejection or issues during document verification. To ensure a smooth application process, consider the following:
- Account Creation and Login: If you have an existing account, log in using your username, password, and captcha. If not, create a new account.
- Aadhaar Verification: Verify your Aadhaar card details if prompted, or select ‘No’ if not applicable.
- Accuracy of Personal Details:
- Name Spelling: Ensure your name’s spelling exactly matches your 10th-grade mark sheet. Any discrepancy can lead to rejection during document verification.
- Date of Birth: Enter your date of birth precisely as it appears on your 10th-grade mark sheet.
- Father’s Name: Ensure the spelling of your father’s name is accurate and consistent with official documents.
- Mother’s Name: Provide the correct spelling of your mother’s name.
- Educational Details: Fill in your passing year, board, and roll number for your 10th-grade qualification accurately.
- Address and Nationality: Provide your correct address and nationality.
- Community Selection: Carefully select your community (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS). If you believe you have a better chance in the General category due to fewer vacancies in your community, you can choose to apply as a General candidate (no certificate required in such a case).
- Contact Information: Provide a valid mobile number and email ID.
- Photograph and Signature: Upload clear and legible photographs and signatures as per the specified guidelines.
After filling in all the required details, verify them thoroughly before submitting the form. Checking the official notification carefully before applying is highly recommended to understand the complete process and avoid errors.
