Eligibility Criteria for BSF Recruitment 2025

BSF Selection Process 2025

The chest measurement for males should be between 76 cm and 81 cm, with a mandatory expansion of 5 cm. Weight should be as per medical standards and proportionate to height.
For female candidates, the minimum height required is 157 cm. Their weight should be within 46 kg, proportionate to their height as per medical standards. Chest measurement is not applicable for female candidates.
The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) involves various physical activities. Male candidates are required to complete a 1.6 km run within 7 minutes.
Female candidates need to complete an 800-meter run within 5 minutes.
In addition to running, both male and female candidates will undergo jumping tests. For male candidates, the long jump requirement is 11 feet, with three attempts provided. The high jump for males is 3 feet, also with three attempts.
For female candidates, the long jump requirement is 8 feet, with three attempts provided. The high jump for females is 2 feet, with three attempts.
Other Stages of Selection
After successfully clearing the Physical Test, candidates for technical posts will proceed to a Skill Test. This stage evaluates job-specific skills relevant to the position applied for.
Subsequently, all candidates who pass the preceding stages will undergo Document Verification (DV). During this stage, original documents will be thoroughly checked and verified to confirm eligibility and authenticity. The final stage involves a Medical Test.
