Candidates who are 10th pass are fully eligible to apply for these Group D vacancies. Additionally, ITI qualified candidates can also apply. It is important to note that possessing an ITI qualification is not a mandatory requirement if you are a 10th class pass candidate; both are eligible based on specific posts. For 10th pass candidates, positions like Peon, Helper, and Hospital Attendant are available. The Assistant Pointman post is open to both 10th pass and ITI qualified individuals. Railway Group D Selection Process

The selection process for Railway Group D positions involves multiple stages designed to assess candidates comprehensively. These stages include a Computer Based Test (CBT), a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), a Medical Test, and finally, Document Verification.

Computer Based Test (CBT) Details

The Computer Based Test (CBT) will comprise 100 questions, each carrying one mark, making a total of 100 marks. Candidates will be allotted 90 minutes to complete the test. It’s crucial to note that there will be a negative marking of 1/3rd for incorrect answers. The subjects covered in the CBT include General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Awareness & Current Affairs.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Requirements

The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) has specific requirements for both male and female candidates. Male candidates must be able to carry a weight of 35 kg for a distance of 100 meters and also complete a 1600-meter run within a specified time. Female candidates are required to carry a weight of 25 kg for 100 meters and complete a 1600-meter run, with separate time limits for each.

Medical Examination

A thorough Medical Test will be conducted to ensure the fitness of the candidates. This examination includes checks on eyes, nose, ears, and a complete body check-up. Blood and urine tests will also be part of the medical assessment to determine overall health and fitness.

Document Verification (DV) Checklist

Candidates who clear the previous stages will undergo Document Verification. It is essential to have all necessary documents ready beforehand. Key documents include an updated Aadhaar Card, the final printout of the application form, admit cards from examinations, recent photographs, signatures, caste certificate (if applicable), 10th class marksheet, birth certificate, ration card, and any other relevant certificates or proofs.

Age Limit

Candidates must be at least 18 years old. The maximum age limit for applying is 33 years. Age relaxation provisions will be applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.
