The option to make corrections is available for specific candidates and is limited to certain states. If you have not yet made corrections, you can do so now. The online form for editing and making corrections is accessible.
How to Correct Your Post Office GDS Application Form
To correct your application form, you will need to enter your registration number and submit it. Your application form will then appear. You can then make any necessary changes or edits to rectify errors. Only fields that are active and open for editing can be corrected. Inactive or “dead” fields cannot be modified.
Important Dates for GDS Application Correction
A notification has been issued stating that applicants will have only two days to complete their corrections. The correction window is from February 25th to February 26th. All corrections must be made within these two days.
What Can Be Corrected in Your GDS Application?
Information regarding what can and cannot be corrected in the application form has been provided. This includes details such as the applicant’s name and father’s name. You can only correct the information in the fields that are active for correction.
To access the correction option, navigate to the “Second Stage” on the website and click on “Edit Application.” After entering your registration number and submitting, your application form will appear, allowing you to modify the open fields.
States Eligible for Post Office GDS Application Correction
Candidates from specific states are eligible to make corrections. These states include Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra. The portal has been reopened for corrections for candidates belonging to these four states only.
Impact on Post Office GDS Result Declaration
The Post Office GDS result is expected to be significantly delayed this time. The re-opening of the correction option means that corrections are currently ongoing. Consequently, the result declaration will be delayed. However, the results will be declared separately for different states and are anticipated in a few days.
