BSF Selection Process

Chest Measurement
For male candidates, the chest measurement for General, OBC, and SC categories should be 80 cm (unexpanded) to 85 cm (expanded), allowing for a 5 cm expansion. For male ST candidates, the chest measurement should be 76 cm (unexpanded) to 81 cm (expanded). Chest measurement is not applicable for female candidates.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
The Physical Efficiency Test will assess the physical capabilities of candidates through a series of events.
Race Details
Male candidates are required to complete a 1600-meter race within 6.5 minutes. Female candidates must complete an 800-meter race within 4 minutes. Candidates will only get one chance to clear the race.
Long Jump
Those who qualify in the race will proceed to the long jump. Male candidates need to clear a long jump of 11 feet, while female candidates need to clear 9 feet. Both male and female candidates will be given three chances for the long jump.
High Jump
Following the long jump, candidates will undergo the high jump. Male candidates must clear a high jump of 3.5 feet, and female candidates must clear 3 feet. Both male and female candidates will be provided with three chances for the high jump.
