Selection Process for Home Guard

Physical Standards and Efficiency Test
The Physical Test comprises a Physical Standard Test (PST) and a Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
Physical Standard Test (PST): In the PST, candidates’ height and chest measurements will be assessed.
- Male Height: Minimum 168 cm.
- Female Height: Minimum 152 cm.
- Male Chest: Minimum 78 cm (with an expansion of 5 cm to 83 cm).
- Female Chest: Not applicable.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Running and Other Tests: The PET includes running and other physical activities.
- Male Running: 1600 meters to be completed within 6.5 minutes.
- Female Running: 800 meters to be completed within 5.5 minutes.
- Male Push-ups: 10 push-ups to be completed within 1 minute.
- Female Long Jump: 2.5 meters. (No push-ups for females; no long jump for males).
Written Examination Pattern
Candidates who qualify in the Physical Test will appear for a Written Examination. The exam will consist of 150 questions carrying a total of 300 marks. The subjects covered in the examination will include General Knowledge (GK), Hindi, Numerical Ability, Mental Ability, Reasoning Ability, and IQ.
